Kindergarten & Preschool Worksheets
I gathered a huge list of amazing kindergarten and preschool worksheets. As a working mom, I feel a lot of guilt about my kids. Like a lot! I sometimes lay awake at night and think of all the things I could have done better and want to do with the kids. I know most moms do this too.
To help moms like myself, who struggle with this I am putting together a resource page here for things to teach your kids. Activities, printables, and worksheets to help your children learn at home for almost free. Knowing you are doing the best you can to make a big difference.
Most of these are completely free but some of the buyable books (because printing and ink are expensive) are affiliate links. I do earn a small commission if you make a purchase through one of my links. And let’s be real we are busy sometimes having them arrive at home is much easier on us.

Preschool Up to Kindergarten Worksheets
This free preschool and kindergarten worksheet kit is probably one of the best ones I have come across. It is very detailed and contains over a hundred pages total. Follow this link over to Mommy is My Teacher for the full pack.
The beauty of worksheet printables is that you only have to print what you want to print. You can save the link and print at different times or just print which pages you think work best for your kiddos and their levels.
I love her site because she breaks them down by categories like landmark printables, sights words, and number tracing. There are a total of twelve really great packs to choose from.

Alphabet Free Worksheets
Have your children learn the alphabet and their letters with these worksheets with alphabet coloring pages. Each one has a different theme. Coloring the alphabet is a good way to introduce the youngest learners to letters of the alphabet through an activity they like.
It doesn’t matter if they can’t yet read it, they can still color in the shapes and gradually familiarize themselves with the letters and words, which helps with further learning later on.
Find all of the letters here and tons of other worksheets too.

Free Shape Worksheets
Download your free worksheet of shapes for teaching basic shapes for preschoolers or kindergarteners. Quick and easy shapes learning activities for preschool up to kindergarten age kids.
Teach your kids to recognize shapes with these fun and free printable shapes worksheets that you just print straight out from your home printer and watch the magic. I also laminate a lot of the pages so my kids can reuse them more. It’s genius! But you can also just stick them in sheet protectors too and let them use dry erase markers. Those tend to get beat up pretty quick though.

Speaking of laminated worksheets I created sheets with both of my daughter’s names and my nephew’s names as well. I also included the shapes printable from above and laminated all of them so they could practice more with them.
Once the name sheets are laminated they can reuse them multiple times. I just wipe them off with a wet rag and let them write on them again.
To create your own tracing name printable with your kid’s names head here to download the font. Extract it, download it, and use it in word or Photoshop etc to create your own unique name printable See the ones I created below.
If you need help creating your own custom name trace sheet please hit the contact link above and let me know I have no problem creating it for you it only takes a second. I can email the name sheet over to you.
If you want to see the laminator I recommend head to Amazon.

Preschool Worksheet Kit
Now that you have all of these amazing free worksheets I want to share with you a binder I made with an entire year of activities. It does cost $3.95 but it was worth it! Find the printable kit here.
The Preschool Daily Learning Notebook includes:
- What day is it?
- Find today’s number
- Write today’s number
- Write today’s number word
The kit comes with a worksheet for each weekday, Monday through Friday, with traceable days on it for preschoolers. On this page, your preschooler will trace the weekday, find today’s number and color in the circle. Trace the number (I write this in with a pencil for her to trace), and then write the number word for the day.

This version includes traceable number word cards to help students that need assistance with spelling out the number words. They can trace the copies until you think they’re ready to try it on their own!
Traceable calendar pages, plus weather tracker:
Each month they will trace the month name, then trace in one number per day to fill in the calendar for each month. They’ll also color in a box for the weather. This is great for counting skills, number recognition, and handwriting practice!
Time, Temperature, Clothing:
- What time is it?
- What temperature is it?
- What would I wear for this temperature?
Also included a time, temperature, and clothing worksheet. We have a simple thermometer right outside our front door that we check. Then we come in and color the correct temperature and an appropriate outfit on the paper doll.
Handwriting Practice:
For more handwriting practice included is an “I can write my name” worksheet. Students can practice writing their name once each month to see their progress, or they can write it as many times as they like for fun! Also included is a blank handwriting worksheet so they can practice their name or letters as many times as needed!
Numbers, Letters, and Shapes:
I also added numbers, shapes, and letters to this pack. To help make them easier to find there are colored divider tabs so you can flip to the correct spot. For the numbers, there are lightly colored dots on each one.

While doing my research I have come across some really great book lists as well and want to share some great books to look at
I hope this list of preschool and kindergarten worksheets helps you teach your kids at home. I do not homeschool the children myself but do these on the days the girls are not in school.
I love doing stuff with them and love to see their faces when they learn new things.
Check out this locker cabinet I redid to put all of their learning stuff and arts and crafts stuff in. If you like these worksheets you will also love this set of printable games and activities too!
