Game of Ham Review – The Funnest Game You’ve Never Heard of

Game of Ham is an extremely fun game that is perfect to play with a group of friends. I have now played it a few times and cannot say enough about it.
I have written other blog posts about board games before because I love playing all sorts of games. Check out that post here.
This game is right on the top of my favorites list. The game is similar to cards against humanity but 10 times better!
I love that it’s still fun and a bit dirty like games against humanity but it has a strategic twist to it. It is a huge crowd-pleaser.

Game of Ham Start
Much in the way that the makers of Cards Against Humanity created their “adult” version of Apples to Apples by putting a risque spin on the idea of filling in a blank with offensive, inappropriate responses, the makers of Game of HAM (Hating All Mankind) have done something similar but also expanded matters by including a board and an instruction manual filled with a plethora of variations to keep people entertained. Needing a minimum of three players, 18 and older (but I guarantee teens getting a hold of this will play), the basic gameplay has everyone selecting 10 pink cards and the host decides who will be the first judge. The judge reads a gray card, either asking a question or reading a statement, which the remaining players respond to with a pink card. The judge selects the winner, who earns that hand or trick, and that person becomes the new judge for the next round. For those wanting to play just with the cards, the game’s winner can be determined by who wins a set number of tricks or since each gray card has either an “H”, “A”, or “M” on it, anyone able to spell out “HAM”.
Cinema Sentries
Cinema Sentries above explains the game perfectly. The best part about this game is all of the variations. You can play quickly or add in more rules and ways to choose winners. Making it a game that is always fun and never the same.

Game of Ham Better than Cards Against Humanity
First, did you know that HAM stands for Hating All Mankind? If that doesn’t give you a glimpse into the creator’s minds I don’t know what will. This game is dirtier, funnier, and all-around more fun than the CAH. Especially because of the added strategic point of the game.
If you win the read-aloud card by throwing out the best answer you then get to move your marker. If you are lucky the marker will land on a colored spot on the board and you get to choose a card that correlates to the color on the board.
These cards make you able to do stuff like switch out your answer cards or make the person choosing their favorite answer again.
Earning those cards makes it so fun and blocking your friends from winning is the best part!

Great Party Game
So if you want to just throw back drinks and not think you do the extra board game that is totally an option too! You can go either way. The few times we played we used the board and the extra cards and enjoyed it very much.
You can get the game on ETSY and I think it would make a great gift for friends or family members that like these types of games. I know I bought some for my friends. I actually just bought one for a house warming gift because I knew they liked it when I had them over to play!
