3 Ways to Decorate your farmhouse Christmas tree in a unique way

How to get a fabulous farmhouse Christmas tree that’s unique and beautiful. Sometimes you like to do the traditional Christmas tree and sometimes you want to try something new and have some fun!

This year I wanted to try something new. I wanted to buy this really awesome tree that had branches spread out and looked really elegant and simple. I wanted to do no ornaments and only lights and make it super clean and simple. Usually, I go all out and this year I wanted something unique.

Plans do not always work out do they.

When I got the tree up and looked at it I decided it was too plain and not the exact color I wanted. I didn’t like it. I tried placing lights on it like normal and hated it. I thought why not try them on the bottom of my bucket to try out. Didn’t really look good either. I was failing and super bummed. It wasn’t just the tree I was just not motivated really.

Target.com

The faux pine Christmas tree is from Target and looked amazing in the photos and with some ornaments, I am sure it will look even better!

This is the tree in the photo online from Target. I think it’s beautiful here!

That happens a lot with the stress of trying to get stuff out before the rush. I have already been seeing trees up everywhere I thought I needed to hurry and get mine up so I can pin them in hopes of getting some traffic for the holidays to my blog. If you have read my blog before you know how honest and open I am. I like to show real-life on my blog and Instagram, not just the pretty stuff.

This tree was just not happening for me. So I messed around with it for a bit.

On a total whim, I decided to add the garland to the tree. It turned out so much better and I thought it was a fun little way to be unique.

Now wow that is much better. I was happier with that and added some twinkle lights to it. It was a rainy overcast day at our house and I tried to snap the tree in all of its glory for you! You can really see the faux tree pop out with the tealish color more here.

If you want to shop some of the other items in the photos I highly, highly recommend these pillow covers from amazon. Click on the photos below for more information. They were inexpensive and come in a lot of colors. The velvet is smooth and I am going back to buy more for sure!

The white bucket that the Christmas tree in is from Ikea they no longer have it but have other options that are similar!

The light garland is also from amazon and I have used it so many times they are so cute. They have a switch with multiple different settings for the lights. I love them!

Thanks friend, I appreciate it!
